High Level Job Description

Under the supervision of the Head of Accounts, this full-time role will be responsible for the performance and success of assigned account teams. The Account Director will establish campaign strategy, maintain revenue goals & ensure proper client management. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize campaigns strategically, lead effectively, and strengthen client relationships by ensuring overall campaign success. 

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership
    • Ability to work and oversee multiple accounts from a strategic planning perspective and “quarterback” execution across programs
    • Acquire thorough knowledge of the client’s business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunities
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s competitive landscape and influential news and events
    • In partnership with the internal Creative Strategy team, manage Phase 1 new campaign creation, ensuring complete delivery against strategy, a brief, budget, campaign guidelines, timeline, talent contracts, and KPIs
    • Ensure supervision, proper training, development of their skill set, support & reviews for Account Managers and Coordinators
  • Account Management & Oversight
    • Draft, negotiate, and manage Client Scopes of Work for projects or retainers based on hourly billing rates and budgets
    • Oversee, review, and analyze all client-facing deliverables
    • In partnership with the internal Talent team, draft Talent and Influencer deal memos and negotiate to secure services in the best interest of the client
    • In collaboration with the internal Production team, develop and manage budgets and invoicing for accounts and programs
    • Ensure delivery against Client scopes and manage internal resources to do so effectively and within the hours scoped; proactively address expected overages
    • Assist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs, which require that employees:
      • Must be able to travel without restriction
      • Must be physically able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs and load/unload, set up and tear down, etc.
      • Must pass a background check
  • Client Growth
    • Lead and assist in all client pitch presentations, selling new business opportunities to decision-makers
    • Participate in networking activities to gain new business and new partners and organically grow business with clients
  • Relationship Management
    • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with FlyteVu accounts, agency partners, 3rd parties, vendors, media outlets, and other partners as needed to execute campaigns and create new opportunities for clients/ prospects
    • Nurture & develop relationships with Talent partners to be up-to-date on relevant industry information

    • Adhere to internal and external reporting cadences, including billing reconciliation, reporting, and invoicing

    • Communicate effectively internally and externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
    • Be willing to work during non-business hours, including weekends and additional hours beyond the 40-hour work week as needed

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 8+ years of agency marketing experience in account or brand management roles; entertainment and/or talent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-person teams as part of integrated marketing campaigns for brands.
  • Strong understanding and ability to create brand marketing strategies across entertainment and culture.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage team members and develop talent.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
  • Problem-solving mentality with the ability to think independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, Apple Keynote.
  • Experience managing multiple enterprises or large brands as clients.
  • Experience across 360 marketing campaigns (creative, media, content, social, PR, events).
  • Ability to accurately estimate resource needs and scope projects.
  • Proven track record of over-delivery of results.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, hard-deadline environments.

Education Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
